Information technology development in the Krasnodar Territory

Over the past few years, the Krasnodar Territory has taken a leading position in the field of information technology, the level of development of which allows the provision of the most advanced telecommunications and information services to users. The main areas of information technology are:

    By the number of subscribers and the level of penetration of broadband Internet and mobile communications, as well as the share of revenues of mobile operators, Krasnodar Region is among the leaders in the country. Kuban is also one of the few regions where advanced telecommunication technologies (4G / LTE networks, LTE-Advanced networks) are being actively introduced first in Russia.

    The city of Krasnodar is actively developing IT-park, created in 2013. One of its residents is the network of Robokub studios, whose team took 1st place at the VIII All-Russian Robotic Festival RoboFest in Moscow (April 12-15, 2016).

    Many large Russian and international IT companies are represented in the region. For example, the company 1C in 2006 opened its office here.

    In 2012, IBM also opened its office. Local specialists were invited to work.
