Krasnodar Region has become a leader in the country in terms of the efficiency of the agro-industrial complex.

The rating was made by the Institute for Comprehensive Strategic Studies.

The effectiveness of the work of the subjects of the country in the field of the agro-industrial complex for the first quarter of 2020 was analyzed. The Krasnodar Region became the leader, getting 100 points - the maximum number. Moscow ranked 2nd, Voronezh ranked third.

As the researchers explained, an integral indicator was used for estimating, taking into account factors affecting the productivity and performance of the industry, but not gross indicators that depend on conditions of the climate in a particular region.

- The fact that the Krasnodar Region has become a leader in the efficiency of the agro-industrial complex is quite logical. Our region has a leading position in the production of various agricultural products, their processing and export. In addition, unprecedented support measures are provided to farmers, - said the Vice Governor Andrey Korobka.
