Veniamin Kondratyev: Region yields a record 313,000-tonne grape harvest for the first time in history
The Governor of the Krasnodar Region, made this announcement during a meeting that reviewed the results achieved by the executive authorities in 2025.
«Ensuring the reliable and continuous operation of industrial agriculture is essential for the well-being of rural communities, the prosperity of the region, and the national food security. Despite the natural challenges and drought in the northern part of the region, our farmers and researchers successfully achieved a record harvest, collecting over 11.2 million tonnes of grain and legumes. The region has maintained its leading position in the country for drinking milk, and has secured second place for raw milk. This year, we had a record grape harvest of 313,000 tonnes, for the first time in the region's history. In 2025, the total amount of state support for the industry was 15.8 billion roubles,’’ said Veniamin Kondratyev.
Deputy Governor Andrey Korobka reported that the Krasnodar Region maintained its leading position in agricultural production and food and processing industry output.
«Virtually all threshold values of the Food Security Doctrine have been achieved. The region has a high level of self-sufficiency in grain, sugar, vegetable oil, milk, vegetables, and fruit, which significantly exceeds the region's needs. For oilseeds, the total yield of all crops – sunflower, soybean and rapeseed – exceeded 1 million tonnes. This year, the share of domestic seeds used for arable crops increased. For sugar beets, it reached almost 20 per cent, and for corn, 60 per cent. The gross output of vegetables, including potatoes, amounted to almost 1.1 million tonnes. Due to unfavourable weather conditions, the harvest of fruits and berries was lower than expected. Still, it was among the top five in the history of the Krasnodar Region and is regarded as one of the highest in the country,» said Andrey Korobka.
The Deputy Governor also reported that small and medium-sized agricultural businesses in the region are among the leading producers of farm produce in the country and the Krasnodar Region is one of the largest exporters of agricultural products in Russia. The region participates in international trade with 100 countries. The share of non-resource exports in the region's export portfolio has grown by 6 per cent.
